Digital design sits at the core of my practice, where I blend motion, interface, and visual storytelling to build cohesive experiences across platforms. My work spans UI design, branded content, and responsive layouts, with an emphasis on clarity, usability, and creative impact. I’m confident working across both static and dynamic formats, bridging creative direction with technical execution. This also includes light coding (HTML/CSS) and the considered use of AI tools to support ideation, prototyping, and workflow efficiency.

Below are a few tools and applications I’ve worked with:

HTML

While I’m not a developer, I have a working understanding of HTML and can structure simple layouts or build lightweight components such as data visualisations. These skills have supported past projects and could be extended to broader interactive or digital design tasks when needed.

Figma

I use Figma for wireframing, asset delivery and prototyping. While working on the WFP Share The Meal app, I collaborated with the UX team to deliver assets directly in Figma, moving between Illustrator and Figma to develop illustration systems and UI elements. I’m comfortable managing shared files, components, and collaborating within design systems

Webflow

I’ve completed Webflow University training and took part in an onboarding session hosted by the US Webflow team. I understand how to structure pages, build responsive layouts, and translate design into functional, web-ready outcomes. While not a developer, I’m confident using Webflow for prototyping, simple site builds, or creative handoff.

Kambi Annual Report

Starting in 2017, I designed and wireframed the Kambi annual report site, working with a developer to deliver the live build. This was refreshed annually through to 2021, with evolving layouts, navigation, and visual storytelling.

Social media campaigns

Much of my creative output centres on designing motion and static assets for social media campaigns, primarily across Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), and YouTube. This includes everything from animated stories and reels to feed posts, carousels and channel branding.

Xcode (app coding)

I have a basic working knowledge of setting up apps in Xcode for Apple platforms. I’m confident designing simple app layouts and structuring UI within the tool, though I don’t work with complex back-end development or Swift programming.

Generative AI

My initial response to generative AI was one of caution. But as I explored the tools, it became clear they could play a valuable role in speeding up the early stages of the creative process, particularly for ideation and moodboarding. While I see their usefulness, I believe AI should be avoided in final outcomes where possible. Beyond the ethical concerns, AI-generated content often lacks the emotional depth and nuance that defines strong, human-centred design.

While still limited, with the correct prompting, Runway can produce short snippets.

While more complex to set up, Stable Diffusion offers flexible image restyling capabilities. With the integration of ControlNet, it also allows for 3D renders to be uploaded and styled with precision.

Whether building interfaces, shaping motion assets, or exploring new creative tools, my approach to digital design is rooted in adaptability and clarity. I aim to create work that feels purposeful, platform-aware, and visually distinct – always balancing creative ambition with practical execution. As technology evolves, I continue to expand my toolkit while keeping human-centred storytelling at the heart of everything I do.
